Pictures from Week 1
Below are a set of pictures that go with my very first post! They're in reverse chronological order, with the exception of the video which should actually be last. Enjoy!
The Zulu dance that brought South Africa to Kenya! This woman was desired by the two men behind her. While they were too busy fighting with one another, she ended up with someone else!
One of the many traditional Kenyan dances demonstrated during the show at Bomas of Kenya, Ltd.
Me, Yasmine, Lena, and Helen (left to right).
They're actually serious...
Me and my friend (the same one who kissed me).
Yasmine, myself, and Helen (left to right) feeding a giraffe.
A giraffe!
George, Elma, and their 6-month old girl Nyakara in front of the feast that George prepared for me and the other 2 interns.
This is a picture of me and my research buddy Sophie at Kerio Valley near Eldoret.
Sophie and I enjoying ice cream from the cheese factory I read about in the Lonely Planet entry on Eldoret.
Sophie and I with Milkah, the hardworking attourney at LACE.
My first Kenyan meal! A plate of beef in stwe, cabbage, chapati, and rice.

Lovely post and pictures, it sure looks like you are having a swell time. The picture of the chapati strangely reminds me of the daal and naan in the TISS kitchen in Mumbai.
ReplyDeleteHave fun and continue to update. Will be back for more news from Kenya.
